Extending the Moorabool River Reserve 2022–23

A Project Supported by the City of Greater Geelong

BFS Landcare volunteers and Year Nine students from Covenant College teamed up to prepare for a mid-May planting at the Moorabool River Reserve in Batesford.

This project, backed by an Environmental and Sustainability Grant from the City of Greater Geelong, aims to enhance and restore indigenous plant flora.

We are extending the path northwards towards the bridge at the Midland Highway. This will enable native fauna to move between patches of biodiverse indigenous / remnant vegetation.

It will also offer a chance for the community to enjoy this area, encouraging a better understanding of their local natural surroundings.
