National Tree Day 2025

Moorabool River Reserve, Batesford

Batesford Fyansford Stonehaven Landcare Group together with (Planet Ark) and the Golden Plains Shire Environmental Management Team organised a very successful National Tree Day on a sunny Sunday morning on 27 July.

Shire of Golden Plains staff were joined by 60 volunteers of all ages.

Together we planted a mix of 1,700 trees, shrubs and grasses in the Moorabool River Reserve below the Riverstone Estate.

The morning activities concluded with a very sociable BBQ lunch provided by BFS Landcare.
