Community Working Bee — Boneseed Removal
21 May 2017
This year's annual Boneseed removal day proved to be very successful with over 100 adults and children in attendance.
Many families, locals and Landcare volunteers lent a hand and achieved a significant amount of weeding in just a couple of hours.
The volunteers were rewarded with a BBQ lunch for all of their efforts and hard work. A most enjoyable day had by all, while also greatly contributing to the preservation of this unique piece of land.
Did you know?: Boneseed is considered one of the worst weeds in Australia and greatly threatens the natural environment. One mature plant can produce 50,000 seeds per year!
