National Tree Day for Schools

29 July 2016

Covenant College in the Moorabool River Reserve

Five Covenant College staff, 57 Year 9 students, five BFS Landcare members and Ross and Bowen from the City of Greater Geelong spent 2 hours planting 480 trees, shrubs and grasses in the Moorabool River Reserve followed by some hands-on weeding around the 2015 site. It was again a very successful occasion.

The Covenant college students were delightful—full of enthusiasm and energy. Everyone enjoyed the BBQ lunch in the sunshine after the work was done. Thanks to Lit and Rob for looking after the BBQ.
