Dog Rocks Sanctuary Launch

Recently covenanted with Trust for Nature, the Sanctuary Launch marked the change of name from Lilydale Sanctuary to its new name, the Dog Rocks Flora and Fauna Sanctuary.

Guests involved in conservation and environmental management in the region attended a luncheon at the owners, George and Lit Belcher’s home, Lilydale House, within the Sanctuary grounds. Alice Knight OAM, Chair of the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority made the opening address. George Belcher and Peter Spear, President of the BFS Landcare Group also spoke about the history and management of the Sanctuary.
